The latest collection for Scottish designer, Kestin, looks towards the small fishing towns of Port Seton and Cockenzie for inspiration. Born and bred between the two, notorious Scottish artist John Bellany was a creative anomaly for his time where industrial jobs took prominence for the majority. Famous for his distinctive style of painting, Bellany’s works focus on the sea, fishing ports, boats and the local characters. These paintings set the colour palette for the collection, using unexpected colour combinations of pastel shades with a highlight colours such as orange, yellow– and always with blues that connects the land with the sea.
Murray was commissioned to shoot the campaign for SS23. Shot on location in Port Seton and Cockenzie.
